Main purpose of job:
To prepare financial statements for client entities
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Gathering data to prepare accounts and financial statements, especially and including complex Trust Structures.
- Keep accounting up to date, meeting all client deadlines as required.
- Reconciliation of all financial reporting to ensure reliable and accurate financial reporting.
- Preparation of opening balances for new clients, including review and research of historical financial statements and accounting data.
- Communicate potential efficiencies in the gathering of data, general processes and production of financial statements.
- Ensure efficient and reliable retention of all accounting data to support the financial statements as and when required.
- Any other data entry required for other purposes (e.g. UK tax compliance).
- Assisting the Head of Finance with Management Reports and other internal accounting, where necessary.
- Supervising and assisting any junior accountants in training and processes.
Key relationships:
- Daily contact with the accounting team for work allocation and to provide/request assistance.
- Daily contact with Trust Managers and Trust Administrators for clarification of transactions and appropriate reporting.
Size and scope of the role:
- Responsible for providing accounting support and services to the Accounting team.
- Responsible for providing accounting information to the Trust Management team.

Education / Qualification / Experience:
At least five years’ experience working as an Accountant within a professional services environment.
Other requirements:
Flexibility with working hours as and when required.
